Hi,
Its not very clear if you are asking or suggesting. However assuming that you are putting up a question, portCfgISLMode, Enables or disables ISL R_RDY mode on a port now it depends how you are going to use the ISL.

Hi,
i am asking ..since i am gonna connect a c-class blade switch to my existing fabric (2 brocade 48k)...so i need to know if i have to enable ISL R_RDY on the both E ports of the ISL ...
so i am thinking to use this procedure ...any suggestion or additions ?
defzone --allaccess
cfgdisable
cfgclear “to clear zoning configuration on the new switch”
cfgsave
switchdisable
Connect the cable to the 48K switch
switchenable....
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Assuming that the c class blade is a altogether new blade, the procedure you have decided is ok. The portCfgISLMode and portCfgLongDistance levels LE, LD, or LS only can be enabled at the same time. Such an ISL uses R_RDY mode of flow control over the long distance link. Thus enabling ISL R_RDY is not necessary, if you don't plan to have the Long distance levels stated above.
