NPIV Cisco UCS to CX4-120

Hello,

Does anyone have experience connecting a Cisco UCS system to their existing SAN (CX4-120)?  I have created a couple of FC uplink ports on my Cisco 6248 Fabric Interconnects and connected those to my MDS 9134's.  However, upon doing that I receive this error on the uplink ports of my Cisco 6248's:

"Suspended due to NPIV is not enabled in upstream switch".

OK sounds simple......so I need to enable NPIV on my MDS 9134's right?  But what what happens once I do this.......is it disruptive to all my SAN connected servers?  Do I lose my configurations?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

enabling NPIV is very easy (feature NPIV) and it's not disruptive, also 6248 need to be in "host access mode"
