MOVING PAIR OF mds 9134 SWITCHES

Hello,

We are sending one of our old racks to the trash bin. The only thing left in the rack are a pair of CISCO switches. These switches have no live connected hosts, only the ISL link ports connected to the core MDS 9509 are live at this point. My question is: is there a procedure to follow regarding powering the edge switches off and moving them. I have network team taking care of the networking portion and my fiber is run for the new location, I just don't want any issues and since I've never done this before I am being overly cautious.

Thanks in advance!

make sure to "copy run start" before you turn them off,  also not a bad idea to save startup config to a tftp server ..or somewhere else. Other then that ..nothing special that needs to be done.

Thank you Dyamox, is copy run start done by puttying to the switch itself? We have only the standalone version of FM installed.

I ran copy run start on the pair. I will shut them down and move now.

Thanks Dynamox!
