ICL Connections Between Connectrix Cabinets

My customer has DCX switches in seperate EMC Connectrix cabinets that require ICL cables to be installed.  The switches are in 3 cabinets that are next to each other.  The ICL cables are only 6 feet long.  To get the cables from one switch to the other we would need to remove the side panels from the connectrix cabinets.  The customer is asking if this will cause an air flow issue?  Has anyone come across this issue before?

Hi there,

I have never had to remove a side panel, but I suppose that there would not be any issue in doing it because the airflow in the DCX goes from the nonport (noncable) side to the port (cable) side and removing the side panel should not impact on it.

Rgds,

Felipe

Thanks, We ended up removing the side panels without issues.
