HBA does not log into the switch

We are in the middle of a migration and moved cables from Mcdata switch to Cisco.

The HBA's log in fine in brocade but do not on cisco.

they port status changes from "initializing" state and "link failure" state.

Found this online but did not seem to help.

Any other ideas??

This is an AIX 5.3 host running on CX4. Dont think the storage array will make a difference.

On the cisco switch check the port type - Perhaps change the port type to F-Port and see if that helps.  Also cfgmgr on the AIX host can be used to rescan the bus and possibly the switch

Thanks.
