VNX - Drives removal

Hi,

I'm looking to confirm some informations.

Let's say i have a VNX with several Pool containing Raid Group.  There is lots of SAS drives and some NLSAS.  Is it possible to remove a drive from a configured slot and replace it by another type of drive, lets say EFD.

This without first destroying the pool/Raid group that have this drive configured ?

Thank you,

Chris

Short answer - no.  You cannot replace existing drives in the pool once they are configured.  If you need to add EFD, you will need to add them to the pool - you cannot swap your SAS or NLSAS drives for EFD.

Let us know if that helps
