SanCopy configuration question

I have CX4 arrays, and would like to setup sancopy sessions between them.

I will need to use iSCSI connection since the arrays are in separate locations.

When I run the sancopy wizard, it doesn't show the other storage system in the target array list, only shows the local system.

Do the arrays need to be in the same "Clariion Domain"?

I set the IP addresses on the iscsi ports.

What else do I need to do to get the arrays to see eachother?

On each array you need to setup the iSCSI addresses that you'll be using and from each array you should be able to ping the iSCSI port on the other array using the ping function in Navisphere/Unisphere.

Are both arrays running the same Flare code? Is the San Copy enabler install on the array with the highest flare code?

Thanks, the doc is very helpful, but I think im still missing a step...

There are no "san copy systems" visible in either CX array. I think something needs to be setup before this to allow the 2 arrays to "see" each other???

Ok, after working with the network folks, I can now get the arrays to ping each other.

The IP addresses are assigned, but even though the arrays are not able to ping eachother. I don't know why at this time, since I can ping all the ports from my desktop on the same network.

Something about a vlan configuration issue. I think the array was in a vlan which didn't have a default router so they moved it to a different vlan and got it connected. The networking team originally wanted to isolate the iscsi traffic, but apparently that didn't work and they had to put the iscsi ports back on the primary vlan.I got the arrays to ping each other, and I setup a connection between the iscsi ports, but the source array still doesn't show the target array in it's replication list when I try to select a destination lun. Don't know what that is about.

i have used SanCopy without putting arrays into one domain, everything has to be done via naviseccli though.
