Data Mover Issue

Hello! I am pretty new to the Clariion system. I was checking it out this morning when I noticed we had a warning message: "DME 0 Data Mover2: Out of Service"

After checking on these forums I found the command to show the status:

# nas_server -list

id      type  acl  slot groupID    state  name

1        4      0     2                     2    server_2.faulted.server_3

2        1      0     3                     0    server_2

I am looking for how to restore the faulted server listed there. And also, to figure out what the number under state means. I assume 0 is active and 2 is failed?

nas_list isn't providing the information you need.

The command you want is /nas/sbin/getreason.  There's another post here with a full list of reason codes that detail the state of each DataMover.  If you haven't done so, you might want to reach out to your service provider for assistance.

If you don't see any more warning messages in the GUI, you might attempt to failback the datamovers yourself.  There is another post that covers the procedure as well.  Remember that the failover/failback events will cause CIFS connections to drop, but NFS will retry through the process and will (generally) reconnect before a timeout occurs.

Let us know if that helps!
