CX4-480 reports Requested Bypass when disk slot is empty

Hi All,

CX4 array is showing a disk failure in SLOT Bus 2 Enclosure 3 Disk 14 but there isn't any disk present:

Time Stamp 06/19/18 03:23:40 (GMT) Event Number 740a Severity Error Host BCNACX4SIP02SPA Storage Array CKM00094900214 SP A Device N/A Description Disk Array Enclosure (Bus 2 Enclosure 3) is faulted. Servers may have lost access to disk drives in this enclosure. See alerts for details.

Time Stamp 06/19/18 03:23:40 (GMT) Event Number 7400 Severity Error Host BCNACX4SIP02SPA Storage Array CKM00094900214 SP A Device N/A Description Disk (Bus 2 Enclosure 3 Disk 14) is faulted. See alerts for details.

Faulted Subsystem: BCNACX4SIP02

Bus 2 Enclosure 3 : Faulted

Bus 2 Enclosure 3 Disk 14 : Requested Bypass

State: Empty

Bus 2 Enclosure 3  Disk 11

State: Empty

Bus 2 Enclosure 3  Disk 12

State: Empty

Bus 2 Enclosure 3  Disk 13

State: Empty

Bus 2 Enclosure 3 Disk 14

State: Empty

Any idea? How Should I solve this incorrect status?

If you go to support.emc.com and in the Search box, type in "Requested Bypass"  you should find an article that explains this issue. This is an issue in older Flare code and also issues with failed disks. I'd recommend that you physically verify the status of those slots to be sure there is not a disk present.
