CX3-10c issue - disk issue

Hi all, hope you are well.

I am very new to this technology and hoping you can help. We have a CX3-10c system and a few weeks ago navisphere showed a failed disk (which had the tell tale red led) with the 2 alerts attached.

We swapped the 'faulted' disk with a known good one and it showed (and still does) the led colour used for a good disk however the Navisphere still shows the same Fault.

One of the things I saw on google said about getting the SP Collect zip file for SP-A and SP-B. I went through the process fine with SP-A fine but when I try to run it for SP-B I never get the completion message and if I go to File Transfer Manager and try to transfer any file listed  I get Error: File Transfer - connection timed out

Any suggestions would be most welcome

I would try restarting the Management Server on each SP, allowing some time between running it on each one.

http://spbipaddress/setup

Once logged in, scroll down and run "Restart Management Server"

Wait for it to complete (~ 5 minutes), then repeat the process on spb.

Hi Brett

Many thanks for your reply. Silly question number 2, I assume that restarting the Management Server does NOT affect anything as it’s just the management server?

Cheers

That's right. Access to data is not affected by the restart. The only thing that is affected is access to the Management interface (UI) of the SP, while it completes.

Do SPB first, wait for it to come back, and then do SPA.
