Laptop Issues

I have had an issue with my laptop.  It is new and I have premier support.  I paid a LOT of money for this laptop and it has now, twice, had issues with the battery totally dying - no power getting to keep the battery charged.  I have had to send it away twice, and I had a technician in my home who could not fix it.  I finally got it back after sending it away (second time), and got conflicting notices about the status of it and then it showed up with NO notice.  Dell says my issue is resolved.  They say my warranty is up in June, not even offering me a free 3 year extension.  I did not have my computer due to this for over a month.  I have a small business, and this is totally unacceptable.  I even had a support representative argue with me on the phone.  I must say I have been a Dell customer since Dell started, and I will never buy a Dell computer again unless this is resolved.  I have no idea WHEN my laptop will die again.  I have spent hours on the phone and over a month without a computer.  When the technician was in my home, he pulled out a package to replace my motherboard - why I have no idea when supposedly that was done the first time I sent it away - and it said REFURBISHED on it.  I paid well over $3K for this laptop and I expect everything inside to be NEW or advertised that it is not.  I am extremely unhappy with this experience.  I continue to get the run around on this when I asked for a new computer and I asked for at least a free extended 3-year warranty.

Unfortunately, you have posted your problem in the Chromebook section of the message boards.

Unfortunately, Dell representatives are not fully engaged on these forums.

Sometimes they will intervene but it is very much hit or miss.

See if you have better luck posting at https://www.dell.com/community/Customer-Care/ct-p/Care

you need to read carefully before buying it.

REFURBISHED means the product is not new.

I guess you are stuck with what you bought.

Regards.
