Set Centera back before initialization

Hi,

there is a Centera system what I kickstarted (FPkickstart). Is there a way to set it back before FPkickstart? (Factory state) I want to run an FPaddcube instead.

It is not in production, there is no data on it. I know I need EMC to do that. Has anybody such an experience?

Thank You!

Krisztian

Krisztian,
As long as the cluster is not in CE+ mode, a field CE can connect to the cluster and reinitialize a cube.  It does not take long, and reverts the box back into the "as shipped" state.  It can then be re-kickstarted or added to a cluster as new nodes or a new cube.  Any data on those nodes would be lost.

You would need to contact your local EMC Customer Engineer or Service Manager.

Hi Krisztian

We have done such factory inits already a couple of times. Effort depends on how large your system is and on where you are located. It would be an EMC customer service payable engagement. Alternatively contact me if someone from us should do that for you. We'll need a couple of days advance notice too.

Best regards, Holger
