Restored content are not replicated
Hi,
customer has two old gen4 Centera sytems, configured for unidirection replication. Centera A -> Centera B
Now they have two new gen4lp systems, using uni dir replication too. Centera C -> Centera D
They wanted to migrate data from two pools only from system A. I started to restore on pool from Centera A to Centera C, and it seems
the restored content does not replicated to Centera D. I configured C to replicate incoming replicated content, and replication is enabled.
Before started to restore data, I exported the two pools and profiles from A, and imported to C and D.
C* are on level 4.1SP1p2 on booth clusters.
Missed I something to setup?
Thank You!

Hi Krisztian,
By design any restored data will not be replicated. This is to protect you from restoring data from a target to a source Centera and having replication cause overprotection back on the target.

Hi Krisztian
The behaviour you describe is normal. You need to issue a second restore between your two new systems in addition to the first one.
You may need to issue partial restores too, to keep up with what your application has written.
Incoming replicated object = yes only affects replicated objects. Restored objects are not treated the same way.
