Migrate from Default Pool

I have a customer that needs to migrate data from a productive centera to a new one. The current box has data in the default pool. Is it possible to migrate from the pool to a different one in the new centera? Is there a way to migrate the data within the Centera rise to a new pool and then migrate to the new box?

Which option is better?

Thanks in advance.

The only way to migrate objects from any pool to another is to recall these objects and "re-archive" them to the new pool. This is required, as the PoolID is inserted at creation time in the Metadata file (CDF) and hence is imultable. I reccommend to leave these legacy objects in the pool where they are and grant access rights for the application profile to this "old" pool. All new ingests will land in the home pool of the profile. All this applies also if objects are migrated (restored) to a new cluster
