Spare blade M6x0/M7x0 server
Is it possible to have spare blade server in M1000e chassis? When one server fails, spare server takes role and IP address from failed server. We are not talking about virtualization. Each server has its own role.
Is this possible and it’s a standard feature or you need something extra?

Dell AIM can do that for you: www.dell.com/AIM . The personas reside on shared storage and contain all the role/server-centric data. If a server suffers a failure, the controller will bring up that persona on another server in the resource pool.
