M640 Connectivity
Hi
we'll be adding a M640 Blade server to an m1000e Chassis, my question is, is it plug and play or do we need to configure the chassis switch for it to communicate with the other blades and the network? what and how do we configure the chassis switch? thanks

You can plug and play the M640 blade to M1000e chassis.
One thing to note is fabric (A, B and C) on chassis should match with the Mezzanine card installed on the M640 Blade. E.g. If fabric on B is 10Gig Ethernet then you need to have 10Gig Mezzanine or no card installed on slot B of the blade. If there is a mismatch server will not boot and fabric mismatch error will be shown in CMC. You can get current fabric on chassis from CMC I/O Module Status page.
