M1000E iKVM failure

On my M1000e Chassis, even after buying a new iKVM, I get:

iKVM reported an unknown board status.

followed up with:

iKVM failed to boot and requires a firmware update

Every time the iKVM starts. I've tried updating the firmware both via the console and via putty and it times out everytime. I even re-installed the latest CMC firmware to make sure that wasn't the issue and failed over to the secondary CMC as well.
