iKVM versus iDRAC

We are going to be building 5 @ M1000e enclosures (about 44 blades)
I am new to the project and studying the technology before hardware is (soon) ordered. We are quoted.

Question is - why would anyone choose the optional iKVM module when there is vKVM in the iDRAC.
(BTW: there is a very nice demo at you tube.)

I would think that as long as there is a laptop in the Cage - there is no need for iKVM
I believe our quote does NOT include the iKVM but I want to make sure we do NOT need it.

Just looking for confirmation.
