Dell PowerEdge M1000E

HI all, recently new to this technology, and need to power down all our equipment at the weekend which means also powering down the Dell PowerEdge M1000E Blade chassie, please can someone point use to the shutdown procedure.

I have tried to find some documentation of this but not found anything, if there is any manuals that show this and other procedures we would be greatful if you could send a link to the download

Thank you

Hi itopman,

Are you familiar with the Chassis Management Controller? "CMC" (the web gui used to manage the blade chassis)

Manual here (page 253 has the power management info):
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/software/smdrac3/cmc/cmc2.0/en/ug/pdf/cmcug.pdf

Power down each of the servers either through logging on directly to each or through the CMC -- Click the Server name under "Chassis/Servers", then "Power Management", and either do "Power off" or "Graceful Shutdown."

Then you can power down the Chassis:
If you click on the lefthand tree "Chassis", then "Power Management", then "Control", you'll see the ability to "Power Off System."
