Replication Monitoring in Avamar 7.5+

Good Morning Avamar Gurus!

I'm looking to better understand and monitor replication between two sites to see what's lagging behind. For now I'm hoping to do this manually, maybe one day I can integrate something into my third-party monitoring system.

Back in the day, we could use replcnt.sh to have a quick look at replication per client to see how far things were behind. I did reach out to EMC support, they confirmed that replcnt.sh was no longer functional in newer versions of Avamar. Can somebody confirm that this is the case, or has somebody been able to doctor it up to make it functional?

Has anybody else come up with another method to perform a similar type of monitoring for replication?

Thank you!

Adam

We have a more recent tool  called "dump_root_hashes.rb" which you could use to achieve similar reporting

Please take a look at the following article

KB 502709 - Avamar: Introducing the dump_root_hashes.rb script

The script's "backupcompare" function allows you to easily compare the backups stored on both source and target systems

Exactly what I needed.

Thank you for your assistance!

Just FYI, dump_root_hashes.rb is much slower than replcnt was because it's doing a complete walk of the entire domain structure. It does let you produce some handy reports, though.
