Backup of new client
I am trying to install a new vcenter and adding it to an old AVE installation. I added a new network card to AVE and set to the new vlan where I have isolated the network trafic. I got the proxies installed and registered to the server and everything seems to be in order but when I try to make a backup of a machine it fails. I have pasted the logfile from the backup below.
Can anyone help me in the right direction to what I am missing?

Looks like a DNS problem to me:
Are you able to resolve CND-CB-VCENTER01.VCIT.DK from the proxy?

There was a DNS problem from the proxies but I have added a dns server to them and now I get another error:

The messages seem to be truncated here but I received the full messages in the e-mail notification.
These messages are similar to the ones in your initial post. The key phrases are "Name or service not known" and "getaddrinfo failed in tcp_connect()" which almost always indicate DNS lookup failure.
In the initial post, I believe the error messages indicated that the DNS server could not be reached. For these latest messages, it seems that the DNS server does not have an IP address associated with the vCenter hostname cnd-cb-vcenter01.vcit.dk.

Am I right when I say that the proxies do not need access to the vcenter or is it proxies and Avamar server that need to be able to see the vcenter server?
I have the proxies on a non-routed network along with a DNS server to make the name resolution but that part seems to be not working. I will go through the DNS setup once again.

I have verified the DNS setup and both proxies and vCenter can do lookups.
Now when I run the backup of a client I get a "Connection Refused
Here is a snippet of the log:
I have verified that the user CNDAvamarbackup@... can login to the vcenter and perform the actions needed.
The "funny" thing here is that I can't see the proxies trying to login the to vcenter.
I am affraid that I might be missing some configuration steps when I added the extra network interface to the avamar server.
Do anyone have a procedure how to add a new vcenter to Avamar (AVE 19.3) on a separate network?
The Avamar is taking backup of an old vcenter and that is working. I need to add a new vcenter on a new network to the avamar server. That is my goal with this.

I solved this issue by adding a network card to the vcenter and placed it on the same subnet.
It turned out that it was the wrong vCenter the server was trying to login to.
Now I just need to find a method to resolve the name of the data domain box on the new subnet.
It keeps resolving the old DD name and IP address.
