Axion root user password change AVE

Aloha,

I am trying to change the Avamar 19.4 root user in Avamar using the change-passwords perl script , but am getting the error below.  I was able to change the root and admin at the OS-level using /usr/bin/passwd command.  This is an AVE install in a dev/test environment.  I cannot find any references to this this error when searching.  I copied the change-passwords script from our prod system (same version) with the same results.
