Avamar grid - Howto determine still stored data marked with "No End Date"

Hello folks,

I just have viewuser permissions only, to query the mcs database directly and in parallel I can use DPA as well. Being not able to execute mccli commands.

For billing reasons we have to check backups marked with "No End Date" too (currently I couldn't get an answer for that on demand backups without a defined retention period). When I query the mcs database for example the last year, I get a lot of records with "No End Date" returned, but understood as well, that an adminstrator is able to delete them manually.

So my question is:

Is there an existing flag, column in a view or whatever available, which could give me a hint that these are still in used dedup volumes or it is just a historical entry in the database and the real data are already removed by the administrator?

In other words: How can I determine the used deduped data amounts still on on the Avamar storage for records marked with "No End Date"?

Many thanks in advance to all the gurus out there.

There is no current tool to take a specific backup per se and report on how much (back end storage) space it's consuming.

The backend report will achieve this on a client level but running it will take into consideration the back end storage consumed by all backups created under the specified client account (or clients, or domain(s)).  The report will also consider the data in isolation - as if the unique data chunks referenced by that subset of clients were not referenced by any other clients' backups).

The backend reporting should include all backups for the selected client(s) or domain(s), even those which are not set with DWMY retention tags or an expiration date.
