Applying a policy automatically

Good Morning. I have an environment of around 2000 clients that i will shortly be deploying Avamar client backup to. Currently it seems that i have to manually apply the policy to end points that check into the management console. Whilst this will be time consuming my issue is around new machines checking in as old machines are retired. Is there a way to set it so that when Windows OS PCs check into the Avamar server, the correct policy is automatically applied? Thank you
