m17 R5, bios update bricked my laptop

I performed the bios update that was just released on 10/08/2023 and now my laptop will not start. The screen stays black and the power button flashes 3 red and 6 blue. I don't know what I can do because I'm on a trip overseas atm and I really need it right now.

I have an m17 r5 and I can only solve this by returning the BIOS version to 1.10.1, there is time to download it and ask to install it before the blue screen, but the problem is that it will update automatically from time to time, just going back to the version 1.10.1 that works again, for now I only found this way to get it working normally again.

Try the Dell/Alienware BIOS Recovery 2/3 procedures

https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000132453/how-to-recover-the-bios-on-a-dell-computer-or-tablet

If that doesn't work:

a. Check Service Manual for a Micro-Controller reset button (usually on the bottom of the laptop). It's often just a little hole and you use a toothpick.

b. Remove AC-Adapter. Remove, disconnect, and/or disable the internal lithium-ion run battery. Let it sit completely off and dead for 30-minutes.

@Tesla1856  No Micro-Controller reset button in the service manual, but I did the bios recovery file on a fat 32 USB and that got me to the Alienware logo with the f2 and f12 in the corner but then it gets stuck there. Tried many times pressing f2 or f12 quickly and it bring up the loading blue bar to full but nothing else, just freezes there.

@WillSha

If you can get to the UEFI Pre-Boot Environment or BIOS ...

... with the latest Firmware/BIOS on a flash drive (yes FAT32 is correct)

Try to re-flash the firmware manually from the BIOS area (outside Windows).

@Tesla1856  After many attempts the Bios rcv file finally worked in full and now I can get into the updated bios, started a repair job for a clean install of Windows but now it won't go further than the Preparing automatic repair screen. It's one blue screen error after another for hours.
