Alienware 15 R3. Freezing problems in games.
Hello, everyone. The problem is the following. Performance issues started a few days ago. GTA 5 began to hang after 5 minutes of play. Until then, everything was fine with all the games. Hang with sound and manual reset with button. It turned out, that the problem has become a common, not only in GTA 5. Forza Horizon 3, exactly the same. 5 times did system restore to factory settings with full disk defragmentation, but the problem remained. Also, a distinctive feature of the laptop at the moment is the braking when you click the right mouse button on the desktop. The window opens with a half-second delay. Also constantly hangs a request to update BIOS from 1.2.1 to 1.2.1 though it is already made, but after reboot again there is a request to update the same driver. Tests were conducted on the performance under load that third-party software that the BIOS software Alienware for efficiency of equipment and temperature under load. It's okay. But the problem at the moment is this. I bought this laptop with great hope for the quality of Dell product, but from the first day of use there were micromoments that were just very frustrating. But this is not the topic of my main problem. I live in Russia, in a very remote place from the official service Dell, because laptop warranty, I can not give it to a third-party service. Hi @mirbezumen,
Try running an ePSA/Diagnostic test on the system, click here to view a Dell article that explains how to run this test. Let me know if you receive any errors.
Also, try running a video card stress test. Follow the steps below to do this.
If you do not have Support Assist installed, click here for the download link. Letmes know how high the GPU temperature goes in the stress test.

ive been having the same problem lately
i ran the stress test my gpu maxed out at 72 C
any help would be appreciated

Have you had any luck in figuring this out??? I bought this model thinking the issues had been worked out. Any game that requires the use of the gpu crash hard. I thought it was just gta v at first, but x-com is also doing it... I’m getting severely frustrated. This has been happening since day one. If I wanted to work on a machine daily in hope of getting it working, I would have just built a system from scratch. My m17x R4 has lasted me 4+ years until the video card died. I haven’t even had my 15 r3 for 3 days and I am feeling like I got ripped off...

Submitted my warranty registration states it will take 7-10 days to process... that is just unacceptable when the system can’t even function directly out of the box.
