Will i be able to put 128gb or more of ram on Area 51 Threadripper ?

I'm thinking of purchasing the maxed out version of Area 51 TC , and only problem i have with the setup is the limited amount of ram , hence the question title . And if so , i only need to order the 32 gb dual channel since i will be taking them all out right ?

Hi noirealm.

the Motherboard seems to have only four RAM Slots.  for 128 GB RAM or more you will have to find atleast 4 x 32 GB RAM Modules.

Hi noirealm‌,

Unfortunately, we do not have the specs of that machine yet. Therefore, we won't be able to provide full details on its compatibility with those.

They are unreasonably expensive and suprisingly slow , i could not find one faster than 2200 ! Is there any news on upcoming improved modules ?

yes, i know. the Technology isn't there yet. and we have no Announcements so far.

i glanced over Area 51 TR Configuration Page. have you seen the Price for Dells 64 GB 2666 MHz RAM Kit? 600$. they can't be serious.

The ram alone is the reason i'm going to build my workstation instead of buying this . I just wanted to get out of the hassle of putting together the damn thing but i'm not going to dig myself into a hole . Ryzen TR is capable of much more than 64 GB of 2400 mhz ram . AW has signed an exclusive contract with AMD on the TR chip but they are just not delivering what the targeted customer wants . Thank you for your answer .

All in al,l are you sure that we're actually not in front finacially if you let youself be ripped off by Dell instead of buying each and every part individually? Plus your time, plus the hassel of dealing with every manufacture or retailer if an individual part may fail? I know I was never in front that way. Just curious! But then again, I can build a computer but my mathematics are rather very rudimentary :-)
