Aurora BIOS Splash Screen and Thermal Sensors
I actually have a couple of questions.
First, how do you disable the alienware splash screen during boot up? I have A11 version of the BIOS.
Second, Within the Command Center thermal controls, where exactly are the ambient temp sensors located in the computer?

would like to know the positions of the sensors too
They are NOT located in the fans also i dont find any sensors in the case.
Temperatures dont change for the 3 zones.
on the I/O board there are 2 connectors for TEMP2 and TEMP3 but nothing is connected TEMP1 is nowhere to be found so probably onboard
I think there is only 1 sensor in the alianware case (this would suck)

On the Area 51 the 3 sensors are for CPU,GPU and HDD areas. They are ambient temp sensors and I believe they are built into the motherboard. I have dug around inside my case many times and never seen one. Hard to remember but I think S1 is CPU,S2 is GPU and S3 is HDD. Since they are just ambient temps I never really bothered to track them down. Ambient temps are kinda worthless. That is why you never really see the temps move.
I was told once by phone tech that S3 was on the GPU but I don't think that is true. When you set the PCI fan to manual the default sensor it uses is S2. You would think it would default to S3 if that was the GPU sensor.
@Vinntdead- Dig around for the S3 wire. It could have popped off or someone forgot to connect it.

I would like to know also.
I personally think they are on the fans (also explains why temps stay fairly contant). If you think they are on the MB ... unplug the HDD fan and see if CC Thermal Controller is missing that one temp now.
Dell has been putting temp. sensors on fans (like in XPS series) for many years. It shouldn't be hard to find them ... armed with a hair dryer.
