Alienware M18 laptop shut down, beeps blank screen
I have a problem with my Alienware computer. I was working and the screen suddenly blanked, but then it came back and a small balloon popped up saying the NVIDA card crashed, but it was fixed. A few minutes later, it crashed again and shut off. When I tried to start the computer, it started beeping. It beeped on beep every three seconds. It continued to beep like that for some time. I counted 20 beeps before I turned off the computer, umplugged it and removed the battery.
I'm kind of desperate.I've got a Chromebook for back up but my powerhouse programs are on that computer. Does anyone know what is wrong.

Hi Terrimain,
Check out this article and try the troubleshooting steps. If issue persists and the system is only having one continuous beep (beeps once, then pause and then beeps again), it would indicate a Motherboard failure according to the NO POST Beep Codes.
Let me know how it goes!

We need to know what specific Alienware laptop? Your title states Alienware M18 but you tagged it as Alienware M17x Laptop. How long have you had it?

Yes, it's M18. just hit the wrong tag I guess. I am getting pretty close to two years on it. But my reading of Beep codes says it's probably the motherboard. And I don't have the money to fix that right now. So, I'll have to make do with a low end backup computer I have for a few months.
Oh well. that's the way things go. I so liked my monster.
