Due to a forum glitch, only you can see the pictures posted.

House the pictures somewhere else and provide a link and we can see them.

Unfortunately, we do not have data (names, specifications) on the pre-Dell legacy Alienware products released prior to 2009.

Howdy johnny75,

I have been an Alienware enthusiast since before Dell purchased them, and even owned 2 of the pre-Dell systems.  Back then, they used the same case for both Area-51s and Aurora systems.  The difference between Area-51 and Aurora was the CPU.  Area-51 systems used Intel CPUs, and Aurora systems used AMD CPUs.  Other than the CPU and the necessary motherboards, the systems were fairly equal, unlike today where the Area-51 is the top tier.  Also back then, AlienFX lighting was not "standard" and depending on the specific configuration, the systems may or may not have it.  As the systems were quite configurable back then, you would have get more specifics on that exact system.  I was actually quite fond of that style case, and if memory serves, it was called a Predator case.  I had an Aurora "Star Wars" Edition PC that used that case, with either Light or Dark decals on the side panels of Star Wars Characters.  Hope this helps!

Hi johnny75,

In order to find the spec on that specific model, you will need the seller to give you the model off of the sticker on the back of it.  If it was purchased directly from Alienware, it would be called The Alienware Aurora Desktop, or perhaps even "The New Alienware Aurora Desktop."  If it was sold in a store (like Best Buy), it will have a number after Aurora, like Aurora-7500.  If you can get that, you can Google for more specifics.  However, due to the customization options, a Google search will only get you so far.  You can also peruse the WayBack Archive and check out the original Alienware site:

Good luck!

I'm going to reply to a very old post, but to me, it looks like an Area-51 7500.  It's "pre-dell," as others have stated.  Mine, which looks exactly identical, still has the manual which I can scan for folks if that's "legal." I also have an extensive collection of drivers from Dell, who I worked for, including one that works in Win10. The motherboard is different from mine, but I have the Intel version so that goes without stating (although I just stated it).

Dear Johnny,

Today  is your lucky because I got a home of this desktop very recently too and it drove me nuts looking all over the internet for its model. I saw your post and the photos and realize we have the same one but mine has an Abit AV8 and god it was so awesome to finally get everything up and running.

it’s called the Alienware Predator 2 released around 2003-2004. This is the 04 we got. I was buying some organizer rack at a resident and the nice dude was trying to clear the place out for his uncle. I did notice the back of this huge tower but didn’t know what it was.

Long  make it short, he gave me an Apple AirPort Extreme, Moto SB Cable Modem, and sold me this Alienware for $10 bucks. It’s def a nice purchase. I enjoyed pulling my hairs to have it spotless and restored to its once prime time. I rerun all the wires and decluttered the wire. Alienware had way too many cables in there. I found the working latest bios and flashed it too.

Audigy 2 SB was a superb addition to my Z5300E. It looks pretty door with the 2 blue eyes and the whole case lit up just like the Predator mask man.

i hope you still have it and give this girl a good restoration. She deserves it.

enjoy
