How to replace this fan on ALX System Motherboard FPV4P
Hi Everyone,
I have a problem: the fan above the CPU position. I don't know what it called. I looked up the Alienware Aurora R4 manual, and there is no information about this part. Maybe it is a heat-sink fan. It starts to make noise, and I want to remove this fan to replace a new one that can be better and more quite. But, I don't know how to remove this fan on the motherboard.
Does anyone here know about this part? Please help me out. I attached a picture for you guys to see easily.

Other than wires being swapped around there is nothing special about the fan. Note the Yellow Red Black Wire positions. Standard fans have red in different order. So a non dell fan will need wires swapped around to work.

Thank you speedstep. I thought this fan is glued to the sink and can not be removed by unscrewing 4 screws.

The order of the wires is swapped around for the dell fans but other than that its nothing special.
If you get an exact replacement you do nothing. If its a standard fan of the same size you will need to use a sharp object to remove 2 pins from the fan connector and reverse them OR cut the wire off close to the DELL fan then use solder and hook red to red black to black yellow to yellow or white.
