AW3423DW, fan noise?

Alienware 34 Curved OLED Monitor AW3423DW

Hi, I just set up my AW3423DW monitor. It was quiet and then I started hearing something akin to fan noise coming from somewhere. Does this monitor use a fan for cooling and should it be loud enough to be heard in a quiet room?

Thank you.

The two fans are there to protect the AW3423DW from overheating and follow the industry standard sound pressure level specifications (example < 32db.). The speed of the two fans will vary according to the internal/ambient temperature level. The fans keep running in sleep mode or when DC is off. You might hear fan noise a few minutes after you turn off the monitor since the monitor may still be doing some internal processing such as Pixel Refresh operation. Keep your monitor well ventilated. In summary, the AW3423DW is working as designed.

Here is the online AW3423DW Documentation page

Opening the online AW3423DW User's Guide and doing a ctrl-f search for fan reveals =
The fan inside the monitor keeps running in sleep mode or when DC is off.
