Aurora R9, issues with storage and ACC

I'm having issues with unknown files taking up storage on my C drive which has happened many times before this. Tech Support had me download WinDirStat to identify these hidden storage takers and delete them.  When I run WinDirStat now the files show up as and will not even let me see the properties let alone delete them out of storage.  Currently taking up 182gb and counting after every restart.  There is also a doing the same thing but at a smaller capacity.  Also having issues with SupportAssist failing to complete updates. Tech support corrected the problem yesterday but now with booting up today AWCC ( Alienware Command Center) will no longer work. It will try to launch and then automatically closes out. I switched the properties to automatic on start up but did not help. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Also, don't forget to run windirstat as an administrator. There will be less unknowns that way.

1. The files may be a RAM paging file. That eats up a lot of space.  To fix, search google for how to change the windows page file size for that drive.

2.  Click F7 in windirstat to show the unknowns.  The biggest offender here is usually your windows restore points.  To clear some space here do a search for delete all but most recent system restore point in google.

I prefer this free utility over windirstat:: Treesize

Try that, and see if it shows you more information. Typically when it says "unknown" it is the difference between what it can see, versus what it can not. Typically caused by permissions, preventing listing the file(s) in questions.

Thanks for the tip on the admin. The files ended up being under a dell folder as a text document instant restore point just like you were saying. Is there some way I can disable this from happening or just continue deleting the files ?  Thanks for the help.
