XPS 15 7590, disconnecting Wifi
I got less than a week ago an XPS 15 7590 with a Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 (2x2) and Bluetooth 5.0 card.
An since then this laptop won't stay connected to my wifi for more than 5 minutes, requiring me to manually reconnect every time.
I work with different laptops all the time (and recently I also got a Latitude) none of them has any issue with my wifi.
I also tried disabling drivers, using older versions, going for the most up to date drivers from Killer, and changing the wireless mode.
My latest attempt was to follow the instructions here: (https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/XPS-13-9370-disconnects-from-WiFi-even-in-high-performance/m-p/7276438#M26893) - which did not work.
I definitely need some help here.
Thanks

@paulotcj I am facing the same issue with this combination of hardware, which I received 3 weeks ago. Any solution so far?
Here's the link to my thread (did not find your thread in the search at first), so we can keep everybody updated:

Just receive my XPS 15 last week as well. Experiencing the exact same problems.
tried various solutions from Dell and Killernetworking. (Clean install of Killer drivers etc, maximising output of card)
So far nothing has helped the unstable connection.
This renders the laptop unusable to work with. I'm hoping for a magic solution from dell/Killernetworking in terms of drivers. but so far no reaction yet.
Everything online points to just replace the killer networking card with an intel card.
Did Dell send you an update yet?
Ciao

@Nelis_No, not so far. Only the virtual assistant of Dell community replied to me.

Hi Irgi,
i already contacted Killernetworking, but haven't received a message from them yet.
i did receive a message from Dell Support for a temporary workaround.
uninstall all killer drivers and killersuite and install the next drivers:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28752/Intel-PROSet-Wireless-Software-and-Drivers-for-Windows-10
(this as the killer 1650x is a rebranded intel ax200 wireless card)
i haven't tried it myself yet, will do it later this evening. But maybe this already helps

Hi @Nelis_ ,
thank you for the Info. I'll give that a try as well.
Found some information on Killer AX1650 vs Intel AX200NGW:

Hi @Nelis_, @Irgi,
No solution so far. I tried installing older versions of drivers from similar threads about the xps line with killer cards, none of them worked so far. Usually, I was not even able to install them.
I haven't tried @Nelis_ solution yet as I am still testing my last setup - which seems to be way more stable.
So here's my tips:
1 - Set your windows network to private (Win key -> type "Network Status", click on it -> Click 'Change Connection Properties' -> On Network Profile section change it to Private )
2- Change the wireless mode:
My connection is still dropping, as a matter of fact, it happened twice as I wrote this reply, but not every 5 min like it was before or maybe it is just my imagination, but I think it helps a bit while I actually try to get some work done.

My first question would be, are you running an AX router?
I have the KillerWireless 1650 running on a 3 year old system and am seeing no real problems with it. But my install did not come from the Dell factory so all of my drivers are directly from Killer Wireless and some of them do depend on what Win 10 build you are using.
You might start keeping track of when the adapter disconnects so you can compare it to a WLAN report to see if anything in particular happens at those times.
Otherwise, all I can suggest is you have the drivers you want to use downloaded. Then go offline and uninstall the adapter completely and check the box to remove all drivers. Stay offline until the new driver has been installed.
The Control Center may be involved, although it doesn't seem to be with my install, but you can uninstall that if you want.

@Saltgrass In my case no, but that's partially why I switched to AC (at first I was just trying new configs I found browsing about this issue).
That's my router's current config:
Any ideas?

I have no further suggestions that what I already mentioned.
I have an AX router with mine and getting 2400/2400 link speeds.
My card may be disconnecting but if it is, it reconnects without me noticing. If yours is disconnecting, under what conditions is it doing so. Are you downloading something or is it sitting idle. Is anything going on in your environment which might effect the situation, such as other systems/Wi-Fi users? Do you show a good signal strength?
I cannot see the attachments posted earlier so I will check those when I can.

As discussed this morning, i tried the solution of the Dell Tech this evening.
(using the intel drivers after removing all of the killer drivers)
Within 30 minutes the wifi dropped twice, and disrupted my wifi network. (took a while to get back up again).
So this hasn't fixed the issue (made it worse).

@Nelis_
Replaced the Killernetworks by the Intel driver and so far, I did not encounter issues any more. The connection to the router is fast and stable, no more negative effects on the rest of my WiFi environment.
Here's how it looks like in device manager:

Hi Irgi,
Good to hear the solution worked out for you. Hope it stays that way.
I'll update this thread once i got a working solution or workaround for myself

These are the KillerWireless drivers running on my system. They will probably be the same, except for the date as those loaded with AX200 drivers.
You might also look for any helper type utilities which could be meant to help with connectivity. The Intel configuration may be different than the KillerWireless configuration.
