winlogon.exe
Apologies if this question has been asked 1000 times before. Most times I boot up, my system closes down with the message "winlogon.exe encountered a problem and had to close". When I switch back on it works fine. According to my virus scan there is nothing horrible in the system. Any thoughts please?

click start>run
type in: sfc /scannow
(space between sfc and /)
click ok
sfc will replace any missing/damaged XP system files. Insert XP CD if sfc requests it. Reboot when you're done.
