Runtime error 216 at 01493A16

Dimendsion 4600 running Windows XP When closing doown the PC I get this runtime error message and occasional when PC is running. I can only clear by closing down the PC. Any advice pease? Thank you

I presume you have IE,if so which version?
 
Have you run any scans?

Thank you for your response. I have installed IE7 but I use Mozilla Firefox. I could not find the runtime error 216 in the list so presumeably I need to start closing programmes one by one to identify the one causing the problem.

Try running  avg anti spyware and your AV in safe mode.
 
 
 
You could also try trojan hunter.
 
 
It may be necesssary to disable system restore,scan in safe mode,than scan again in norm mode.If it chesks out ok,set another restore point.
