how to change mouse scroll direction Windows 10

Windows 10, Inspirion 5675, Dell basic mouse. I would like to reverse scroll wheel direction (I'm used to Mac, and still regularly use both platforms). I did a search and see that sometimes mouse properties has option to reverse scroll direction, but I don't see that in my basic mouse settings panel, or under the "wheel" tab in mouse properties. Any ideas on how I can do this?

I don't see any way, in Win 10, for a basic mouse.  Possibly a more featured mouse such as many Logitech's which come with a control program MAY do it.

See if the mouse and kb center works for your mouse. That will do what you want.

update: was able to install by right-clicking on installer and selecting run as administrator, but this app doesn't support my mouse...guess a nicer mouse should do the trick...

Thanks Mary, just tried downloading that, but upon install, I got the following error message--any idea how to fix this (I didn't type any path, just launched installer)?

So many people who are using Windows 10, sometimes have Reverse scrolling direction issue. Some Windows 10 users like to use default scroll way and some of them like to use Reverse scrolling direction and those people have the issue while working.
Solution: We can use Macro Script (Mouse and Touchpad) to Reversing the Scrolling Direction issue. After installing it, You open text file and write WheelUp:: Send {WheelDown} Return WheelDown:: Send {WheelUp} Return and save the file to change the extension .txt to .ahk. Then double-click on the file to enforce the hotkey and reverse the scrolling of your mouse. https://appuals.com/how-to-reverse-the-scrolling-direction-in-windows-10/

Isn't it infuriating that Windoze does not support this out-of-the-box, like other, serious, OSs have for years?

I am using Logitech MX Master 3. Just downloaded the Logitech Mouse Options, and that gave me the ability to reverse to what Logitech refers to as "Inverted" scroll direction. You can download the app from:

Otherwise, there seem to be quite a few guides online, which suggest using the Registry Editor to do so. I've tried those, but did not restart the computer before finding the Logitech software, so am not sure if they worked or not. Here's one:

@Mary G:

I know it's years later and you may not see this, but: Thanks so much for posting this! I have spent a stupid amount of time trying to solve this problem, and this works!
