Subscription Keys for Free Trial Norton Antivirus?

Dell provided Norton Antivirus 2004 on a 90 day trial basis when I purchased my computer. Since I didn't purchase the software by itself, Symantec didn't email a subscription key. So, I can't renew my subscription at present.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what should I do?
