home and auto cd players can't read burned cds

just purchased dell 8300 with 8x dvd+r/rw cd-rw and 16x dvd rom drives.  cd burner is sonic recordnow.  i can burn cds and play them on my dell computer.  however, they do not play on my home and auto cd players.  i am using memorex cd-rw blank discs.  what am i missing here?  any help would be appreciated.

You need to use CD-R, not RW discs.  Also burn audio CD's (not MP3's) at a relatively slow speed, 12X or less to be compatible with home or in dash auto CD players.  Also, if you are using them in auto CD players DO NOT use a paper label.

There are a few newer audio CD players that will play CD-RW's, but unless they specifically say they are RW compatible you must us a CD-R blank.
