What does a orange light mean?

On the back of my 4400 there are 4 letters (A,B,C,D). The first three (A,B,C) are green and "D" is orange, what does this mean?

The diagnostic codes for the 4400 list that as "other failure", contact Dell. What kind of problems, if any, are you having?

The boot process failed. Check for a faulty hard drive.

matdi.

It means "Other failure".  Try running the daignostics exended test, instructions for their use should be in the owner's manual, maybe a hard drive failure.

Thanks for your response. I contacted Tech Support, they think it's a video card or my monitor. Before this happened I kept receiving a physical memory error. Would this be the problem? When I turn the computer on the power light is green but it seems it's the system doesn't boot. Is the hard drive light on when the system boots?

Try disconnecting the hard drive. Will the system boot?
