Samsung cd-r/rw SW 252S won't burn TDK cd-rxg correctly

I have the following problem with my new dell pc:

My burning software is Recordnow and I have a samsung cd-r/rw 252S.
But TDK recordables especially designed for audio cd-rxg cán't be burned correctly.
Recordnow says the copy was succesfull, but when I put the cd in my DVD-player or PC it is unreadable. A lot of faults on the cd, or it can't be read at all.
Cd-r's of other types (Phillips/Imation) work perfectly
Hopefully anybody knows what this problem is?
Thanks

Marco

Hi Marco,
Not wanting to give you a short answer but truthfully, some drives simply will not work with all media.
Considering as you stated, it does does with the two you mentioned, so the drive will "burn".
However, Dell does have a firmware update for this drive. Use the Product Support tab above, select Downloads and follow the links for your system.
Too verify that the drive has DMA enabled.

Best Regards

God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do and the eyesight to tell the
difference.
