C6420 HWC2003 The storage BP1 PCIe B0 cable is not connected

Hi guys, I have a c6420 server with a nvme supported backplane. Unfortunately, during part lacking, I'm not able to get supported cable to use nvme drive so I just unplug all of the nvme cable that connect backplane and linking board together.

But I'm get a wired error like this:

I don't want to use nvme drive for now but the server keeps saying "cable not connected".

What chassis did you have? Can you share the part number of backplane you have on the chassis. You need to ensure cabling is proper based on the chassis you have. On C6420 SLED also you need to ensure proper cabling is done. You can refer below links for more details.
