U2715H, Intel GPU driver updated, DDM not recognize monitor?

The Dell Display Manager application has stopped recognizing my U2715H monitor after the Intel Driver & Support Assistant updated my graphics driver yesterday. DDM was working fine before the update. I have checked and DDC/CI is enabled. The monitor is connected to the PC through HDMI. The following error message is repeated three times in the diagnostic report:

12:35:14.968......Error: communicating via DDC/CI (0xC0262582) = An error occurred while transmitting data to the device on the I2C bus
12:35:14.968......Error: failed to obtain output mask from display driver

and followed with:

12:35:22.896......Discarding unsupported display: DELD067.GH85D78I0G3S on Intel(R) HD Graphics 530

I have looked at rolling back to a previous graphics driver, but the option to roll back the driver in the HD Graphics 530 properties is greyed out. Is there a way to get DDM working again?

OS: Windows 10 Pro v1909, 64-bit
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 530
Current graphics driver: 26.20.100.7755

Thanks.

Jamoquetmi,

Uninstall the DDM, reboot the computer and then reinstall DDM from here

Thank you for your reply. I followed the instructions but the monitor is still not recognized by DDM. When reinstalling the application I got a message informing me that there were no supported monitors connected, but I installed anyways. I was later prompted to update the software which I did, but the monitor is still not recognized. I tried rebooting the PC but that made no difference.

I'm afraid there is nothing to be done about that, short of waiting for Intel to fix the issue in a new release or rollback to the previous one.  Since the rollback option is also broken with the 7550 driver, you have to do the following:

1. Go into Device Manager and uninstall the 26.20.100.7755 driver, opting to delete the driver

2. Go into Apps and uninstall the listed Intel Display Driver - you'll need to reboot after this

3. After rebooting, go to Device Manager again and you'll find the Microsoft Basic Display driver in use, which will be replaced automatically by Intel's 26.20.100.7263 from Windows Update. If not, you can trigger the update in Device Manager.

Thank you, swamped207, for your reply. I ended up uninstalling the 7550 driver and I manually installed the 26.20.100.7584 driver which I downloaded from the Intel support webpage. This was listed as the previous release for my processor and OS (Core i7-6700 and Windows 10 64bit). DDM is working fine again.
