A03 for the Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP is out

Hi everyone, just wanted to say that I am a proud owner of a Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP version ( A03 ) that's right, A03, just got it today here in Tokyo, Japan, this is a replacement for my 2407WFP version ( A02 ) that had a problem with the screen that I bought last week. . The support is great, thanks Dell, the monitor looks great........ :smileyhappy:

So, Dell LIED. Good for them, bad for customers - the way of marketing strategy. :

First of all, thank you for your information, DCTokyo.

BenQ assembles & supplies 2407s. (This is one of the reasons why some people assume that BenQ's new 24-inch model, FP241W might SHARE the same characteristics of Dell 2407.)

Hmmm. my concern is that ChrisM has told us that he has not heard any news of A03 Revision from Dell Product Group. NOW, we have a person who claims to have Dell 2407 A03 revision. Strange, is it?

ChrisM, or any member of Dell Support Team, can you verify this?

Quick question here, on the side of the shipping box there is a white label, it say's for ( Inv type: S T ) ( Suppier: BenQ Monitor).

:smileysurprised: Is this made by BenQ???? I thought that the screen was made by Samsung???

any imput here???? my old shipping box did not have this label.

Have you ever heard, " Right hand does not know what the left hand is doing " ?  ChrisM might not know about the A03 version either, and may not get any good information from his end of the chain.   I've seen this happen in many businesses, not to mention the US government.   Lets wait a period and find out if this is a good fix, which I hope it is.  I to was thinking of the Benq 241W coming out, but if Dell has this monitor fixed, than I'll consider it....

Well, if BenQ is making the A03 revision, I guess the question is if the Dell is worth it if BenQ will be offering the same panel, but with true HDMI support. Or perhaps the A03 will have HDMI support as well? Reason being that I want my next display to be able to use HDMI for my PS3 for movies and or games....

If the A03 is really going to replace all of those A02 units, this is great news!

ChrisM -

1.Can you get us a list of fixes for the A03?

2. For those of us with A02 "still" experiencing problems (as pointed out in other threads) can you facilitate a return for a A03 or at the very least allow us to send in our A02's for a flash upgrade?

Thank you for the feedback!

Since I don't believe you, will you take a picture where it says A03 on that sticker?

Yes please, ChrisM, what's going on here!

And I will definitely send in my A02 for an A03 if the banding is gone, and they do indeed make it to the states. (As I understand it, we owners of banding-issue-suffering monitors can send it in anytime during the 3 year warranty period due to the defects in the monitor...someone confirm?)

Can we please get any info and pictures from anyone out there who can answer this new burning question???

Dell please let us all know if there really is an A03 revision we are all dieing to know!!!!!
