@Ceamicro

Dell part number: TXF9M

If the battery is "Swelling" then remove it as soon as possible.

Welcome to the Dell Community @Ceamicro

Please search your "Service Tag" number to find your configuration.

System configuration support for Latitude E5570:

https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/latitude-e5570-laptop/configuration

There you can find the part number of the original battery that came with the laptop.

Post back with the part number and we can assist you to find an "Original OEM" battery.

Best regards,

U2

Hello Alan,

My E5570 has had 2 swollen batteries. The 2nd one lit on fire when I took the back off the laptop to remove it. It could have burnt down my home. Could somone please contact me? I'm afraid to put another battery in it at this point.

Hi @Dell-Alan D ,

i've had similar issue. I noticed my laptop case started to crack a couple of days ago. i opened it and found out the battery was swollen. I googled the issue and it seems a known one. I now wonder whether it's safe to replace it with a new one, or issue might occur again. Please drop me a message, when you have time.

@skuhravy Did you get a new battery? I have the same problem and wonder if it's safer to remove the battery and use my laptop without one for now.

@Dell-Alan DHaving the same fault on mine. Any chance Dell will help out of warranty with those flawed batteries? Capacity wise it was still fine..

The battery of my latitude e5570 is badly swollen. It caused substantial damage to back case and trackpad. I tried to find the original battery but couldn't find one. The laptop is not that old and its a shame dell is not fixing their mistake with a recall since multiple users are facing the same issue. This is supposed to be a business series. What a joke!!! I have been using way older laptops from Lenovo and no issues so far. I am stuck with this $1500 BUSINESS laptop which does not work. There is no place to buy new battery at reasonable price.
