zero key not working unless shift key held down for ). Works on numeric keypad
My zero key has stopped working in lower case only. All other keys are working. Since it works in upper case as a ), I am assuming it is software rather than hardware but I am not sure.
Advice? I am running win10 build 10576.

Hi allanah,
I would suggest you to try flashing the BIOS on the system. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, select the operating system, and then download the BIOS from the BIOS section onto the system and install it.

Also, please connect an external USB keyboard to the system and check if it works correctly.

Thank you for your response. I found out that downloading microsoft keyboard layout creator opening it and then closing it and rebooting solved the same problem for another person. I tried that and my problem disappeared.
Although I didn't use your advice as I had managed to solve the problem, I really appreciate your prompt and helpful response.
