BIG BLACK SPOT ON MY LAPTOP'S SCREEN

I think this big black spot on my laptop's screen is a dead pixel. I tried the pressure method on the small dead pixel and it was successfully removed. I also tried it on the big dot but I stopped when nothing happened. (I was afraid that it might spread and worsen the pixel) I also tried using a dead pixel fixer and ran it for the entire morning but it didn't work either. Can someone please help me? I don't know what else to do.

Hi angeluzdawn,

Please share the exact system model.

Also, share the picture of the screen with the black spot.

To share the picture, click on 'Use rich formatting' icon. Once you click on the icon, a window will open. Click on 'Browse' to browse the image. Once the file is uploaded, click on 'Insert'.

Run the LCD built in self-test. Here are the steps:

  • Turn the computer off.
  • Press and hold the D key while pressing the power button. This will start the BIST.
  • The screen will display multiple flashing colors. Look for lines, distortion, or any other video issues you have observed.
  • The laptop will restart when the test is finished.

Please share if you have the pixel on the test screen as well.

Awaiting your response.
