G3 15 3590 locked CPU voltages and broken power limit behavior
Yesterday bought a G3 15 3590 with I7-9750H and 1660ti. Got installed an Intel XTU and undervolted CPU by -130 mV. Everything worked just fine without any throttling until today. But today when I powered up my laptop and launched XTU, voltage adjustment slider turned gray and PL1 started to behave insane turning Package power down to 8-10W. Tried to reinstall every single driver except BIOS update but it didin't help me. I'm so sad that my brand new gaming laptop turned into potato in two days

Welcome to the Dell Community @spaceshooter
I have tried installing Intel XTU on systems with CPU's that are not listed as Compatible/Valid.
After 3 or 4 that did not work I just gave up???
If you look at the list your CPU is not listed!!!

Do you know of anyone that has been able to unlock this CPU???
Best regards,

Hey there.
I had the same problem and what fixed it for me was following these steps :
- Downloading BIOS 1.8.0 from dell suport and installing it.
- Going to BIOS config ( by pressing f12 or fn+f12 during boot sequence and going to bios setup) and doing a "Reset configuration" down below in the settings, i chose factory settings.
Hope this helps.
