There are six MX7000 chassis to be stacked and managed as a group. Unexpectedly, all members' management IP addresses were unable to connect. Also, there were two blades' iDRAC IP addresses unable to connect.
- Check that the MX7000 chassis Management Module (MM) light and GB port cabling are good.
Figure 1
- Use laptop direct connection on each chassis' MM to confirm that they can be connected to as expected.
- The Leader Chassis login OpenManage Enterprise-M user interface does not show full information. It seems the MM firmware stopped responding (not failed). Direct connection to other chassis member and login OpenManage Enterprise-M user interface shows full information.
Figure 2
The Leader Chassis MM1 firmware has stopped responding (not failed).
For this case:
- Remove the MM1 from the Leader Chassis
- Failover to MM2
- Installs MM1
MM Firmware is 1.30.10.
All members' management IP address can now connect. Log in to the OpenManage Enterprise-M user interface shows the six chassis members information, and the issue is resolved.
