Your appliance uses VMware vSphere 6.7 as the virtual infrastructure to run the protection software, backup, and management VMs.
Starting November 15th, 2023, VMware version 6.7 has lost all support from VMware as its Technical Guidance phase has ended. VMware had announced the End of General Support (EOGS) for vSphere 6.7 on October 15, 2022 and Technical Guidance phase until November 15, 2023.
After this EOGS/Technical Guidance phase end date, there will be no change to how Dell provides end-to-end product support for all IDPA and DP Series appliances under Standard Support. Any IDPA or DP Series appliance Service Requests (including vSphere 6.7 related issues) raised by customers will be handled by Dell Technical Support, as usual.
PowerProtect DP Series software releases 2.7.4, and 2.7.6 contain vSphere version 7.0. You are advised to upgrade to these versions at the earliest.
As a reminder, any updates made to vSphere software without using published DP Series software releases can result in product failures and void product warranty.
For Support ONLY: Review new process and procedures outlined in the Internal Notes section for engaging VMware DE(GSE) for assistance on IDPA and DP Series appliances containing vSphere 6.7
